From Rejection to Appointment

Good morning, Church. I want to thank God for His faithfulness.

For the last 11 months, I have been jobless, and life has been very tough. I worked in places where I put in all my effort, but in the end, I was not paid. I went for many interviews—more than ten—where I passed and qualified, but I was never called back. It became discouraging, but I held on to God and the messages Pastor Gacheru has been preaching these past Sundays.

Pastor talked about fulfilment—that when God speaks a word, it must come to pass. He reminded us not to give up because God is still working behind the scenes. That message kept me standing.

He also preached about us being marked and set apart. So even when rejection came, I reminded myself that my identity and destiny are in God, not in the disappointments.

And when he preached about Christ our Mediator, I kept believing that Jesus Himself was standing for me, ordering my steps, and fighting battles I couldn’t see.

Last Friday, God came through for me. I went for an interview and was hired to start a new job—a door that only God could open. After months of tears, doing vibarua without payment, and being rejected, God has remembered me. Truly, His Word is faithful.

The Bible says in Isaiah 60:22, “When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.”

And God has made it happen for me.

Tomorrow, Monday, we will be discussing the figures for this job. I am praying that God goes before me, speaks for me, and touches the heart of the HR and even the boss himself. May they accept the offer I gave them on Friday during the interview. I trust God to perfect everything concerning this door.

As I begin this job, I pray for God’s favor to cover me and settle me. May this be the beginning of stability, upliftment, and greater testimonies.
